Job summary

Medforce is seeking a Person in Charge (PIC) for Children’s Services to provide senior leadership over a dedicated multidisciplinary team. You will drive delivery of high-quality, person-centred care and ensure regulatory compliance across the service.

The role demands extensive supervisory experience in children’s residential care or related settings, with strong safeguarding knowledge and a commitment to trauma-informed approaches. A full driving licence and Garda vetting will be required.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Social Care, Social Work, Nursing or another related discipline.
• Previous senior management or leadership experience in children’s residential care, disability services or similar setting.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, care planning and regulatory requirements.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary or care teams.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Understanding of person-centred and trauma-informed approaches.
• Ability to work with children, young people, families and external professionals.
• Full driving licence and access to own transport.
• Right to work in Ireland.
• Garda vetting and satisfactory references.
