Job summary

AstraZeneca plc is seeking a Warehouse Lead Operator for the permanent night shift at the Athlone facility (Monksland). The role coordinates night shift activities, ensures GMP compliance, and supports cross-functional partners.

The position requires cGMP experience, SAP proficiency, and strong leadership and safety focus to maintain schedule adherence and quality systems. The role is onsite with weekend and night patterns as described, and reports to the Warehouse Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Experience leading/coordinating warehouse activities in a cGMP manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in an inventory management system such as SAP or equivalent.
• Strong skills in MS Office (Excel, Word) and digital tools.
• Familiarity with AI and data-driven working methods in warehouse ops.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day warehouse activities on permanent night shift to meet schedules and maintain GMP.
• Ensure training, safety, and compliance for night shift equipment and processes.
• Maintain Warehouse Quality System with SOPs and cGMP requirements.
• Provide guidance and prioritisation for night shift staff; escalate as needed.
• Support cross-functional teams and handover to day shift and Warehouse Supervisor.
• Author and revise SOPs, forms, and job roles as required.
• Lead investigations and deviations with timely closure.
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives and use of digital tools.
