Job summary

Darwin Hawkins is seeking a Payroll Operations Executive in Dublin with hybrid working. You will join an experienced payroll team handling Irish and UK payrolls, ensure accurate processing, and support pension contributions and statutory deductions.

The role involves managing weekly and monthly payroll cycles, resolving discrepancies, and delivering timely payroll reports. IPASS/CIPP or equivalent qualification is preferred, with strong attention to detail and excellent communication.

Who should apply?

• Experienced payroll professional with strong Irish payroll experience.
• Previous UK payroll experience.
• IPASS, CIPP or equivalent payroll qualification.
• Experience across weekly and/or monthly payroll cycles.
• Strong payroll reconciliation, pension and statutory deduction experience.
• Comfortable working with payroll systems and large volumes of employee data.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• European payroll exposure would be advantageous but is not essential.

Role and Reporting Lines

Working as part of an established payroll function, you will support payroll operations across Ireland and the UK.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating weekly and monthly payroll activities and ensuring deadlines are achieved.
• Reviewing employee pay information, variable payments and deductions.
• Completing payroll checks and reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
• Managing pension contributions, statutory deductions and employee-related payments.
• Preparing payroll reports and supporting payment processing.
• Responding to employee queries and resolving payroll-related issues.
• Maintaining accurate employee and payroll information.
• Supporting payroll controls, compliance and audit requirements.
• Working closely with colleagues across Finance and HR.
• Supporting payroll system updates and process improvements.
