Job summary

Frasers Group is recruiting an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our payroll team, handling ROI and NI weekly and monthly payrolls for 2000+ staff. You will liaise with Store Managers on paperwork, hours, holidays and pay entitlements, ensuring timely, accurate payroll processing.

The role demands strong numeracy, attention to detail and excellent communication. This hybrid position offers a balanced office and home working pattern with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Experience in payroll administration (ROI/NI) and weekly/monthly payroll processing.
  • Strong numeracy and accuracy with confidential data.
  • Familiarity with payroll software and MS Office.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Process weekly and monthly payroll for 2,000+ employees.
  • Ensure accuracy of ROI and NI calculations and tax deductions.
  • Maintain employee data with HR and resolve payroll queries.
  • Collaborate with HR on payroll changes and exceptions.
  • Generate payroll reports and respond to queries.

Job Description
The opportunity.

There couldn’t be a more exciting time to join the Frasers Group business as we continue to grow our retail estate and launch new brands. We are looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join the payroll team, responsible for managing ROI and NI weekly and monthly payrolls for 2000+ employees.

Responsibilities
  • Checking the number of hours employees have worked
  • Liaising with Store Managers regarding exceptions e.g. paperwork, hours worked, holiday, sick pay entitlements
  • Processing payrolls on a weekly basis in an accurate, on-time, compliant manner
  • Collaborating with the human resources department to maintain employee data
  • Calculating holiday pay, sick pay and other statutory payments
  • Process new starters, leavers, review and verify employee records
  • Answer queries relating timesheets, payslips and other payroll matters
Qualifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • In-depth understanding of tax and employment rules and regulations
  • Attention to detail and strong numeracy skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skillsAbility to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Reliable, supportive and positive with a committed and hardworking attitude
  • The ability to cope under pressure and work effectively towards deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Knowledge of Kronos and/or Megapay would be an advantage
  • Previous experience in a Payroll Admin role essential (minimum 1-2 years)
