Job summary

Gourmet Food Parlour in Swords is seeking an experienced Front of House staff member for part-time hours (approximately 14-25 hours per week). You will join a friendly team, deliver excellent customer service, upsell where appropriate, and help maintain clean, organized service areas.

Minimum 1 year of floor/waiting staff experience and strong communication skills are required; training on allergens and coffee knowledge is provided. This is an on-site role at the Swords restaurant.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience in floor/FOH roles.
• 1 year minimum experience in front of house.
• Excellent customer service and upselling ability.
• Knowledge of allergens and menu knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and seat them, take orders and relay to kitchen/bar.
• Prepare and serve beverages, including coffees.
• Maintain clean and stocked FOH stations; handle payments accurately.
• Respond to customer questions and resolve concerns professionally.

At Gourmet Food Parlour, we have an exciting opportunity for a hardworking, enthusiastic, experienced Front of house staff member to join our team in our Swords Restaurant.

We're looking for someone who’s excited to come in to work every day and who’s ready to develop the team, grow with the brand & tackle challenges. we are looking for part time staff with good flexibility. The role should be around 14-25 hours a week .

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Proven work experience working as floor staff. Minimum 1 year experience.
• Experience working as waiting staff in a front of house environment.
• Excellent customer service skills, knowledge of upselling.
• Good food knowledge, allergen training, menu knowledge.
• Knowledge of preparing all coffee types and hot beverages that meet quality standards
• Knowledge of operating/maintaining and cleaning coffee machine and grinder.
• Preparation of dessert plates and displays.
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Ability to keep the bar /waitress stations organized, stocked and clean
• Making drinks and remembering cocktail recipes
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all the menu offerings
• Be able to recommend options based on a customers preferences
• Properly handle and maintain all equipment
• Respond to orders, questions, concerns, and complaints in a polite and efficient manner
• Accurately handle cash and credit card payments, following appropriate cash-handling procedures
• Observe relevant health and safety standards
• Clean bar/ floor and all equipment and reset and restock up for the next shift as necessary.
