Job summary

Gourmet Food Parlour in Swords, Co. Dublin, is seeking an experienced Front of House staff member for our Swords restaurant. The role is part-time (approximately 14-25 hours per week) with a permanent/part-time contract and negotiable salary.

You will deliver friendly service, upsell menu items and maintain a clean, welcoming dining area. We value teamwork, reliability, and a positive attitude. Previous FOH experience and knowledge of coffee service, cash handling, and health and safety

Qualifications

• Proven work experience working as floor staff. Minimum 1 year experience.
• Experience working as waiting staff in a front of house environment.
• Excellent customer service skills, knowledge of upselling.
• Good food knowledge, allergen training, menu knowledge.
• Knowledge of preparing all coffee types and hot beverages that meet quality standards.
• Knowledge of operating/maintaining and cleaning coffee machine and grinder.
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Ability to keep the bar /waitress stations organized, stocked and clean
• Making drinks and remembering cocktail recipes
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all the menu offerings
• Be able to recommend options based on a customers preferences
• Properly handle and maintain all equipment
• Respond to orders, questions, concerns, and complaints in a polite and efficient manner
• Accurately handle cash and credit card payments, following appropriate cash-handling procedures
• Observe relevant health and safety standards
• Clean bar/ floor and all equipment and reset and restock up for the next shift as necessary.

We’re looking for someone who’s excited to come in to work every day and who’s ready to develop the team, grow with the brand & tackle challenges. we are looking for part time staff with good flexibility. The role should be around 14-25 hours a week .

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
