Job summary

Griffith College IT Services is seeking a part-time Themis Project IT Support Officer to join our Dublin campus. You will gain hands-on exposure to desktop, server, networking, and security tasks with mentoring and opportunities to grow.

Based at South Circular Road, you’ll handle service-desk queries, deploy desktops, support events, and contribute to infrastructure admin. This role offers real scope to develop practical IT skills within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years' Helpdesk/Service Desk experience.
• Familiarity with Windows 10/11 and Active Directory.
• Experience with networks and patch management.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Good written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Deal with learner queries related to systems access and support.
• Respond to service requests via the Service Desk system.
• Maintain classroom A/V equipment (PCs, projectors, control systems).
• Resolve operational problems related to PCs, printers, data and software.
• Configure and deploy desktops and laptops.
• Provide event support for internal and external clients.
• Administer Active Directory, Group Policies, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, DHCP & DNS, and terminal services.
• Install and configure software, hardware and networks.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Apply security updates and perform daily security checks.
