Job summary

GCS Recruitment is seeking an IT Helpdesk Support Engineer based in Dundalk to join a fast-paced IT services team. You will deliver first-line support, resolve technical issues, and provide excellent customer service onsite.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in customer-facing IT support, strong Windows and Microsoft 365 knowledge, and solid networking basics. The role is fully onsite with opportunities to grow and work with senior engineers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a customer-facing IT support or helpdesk role.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Windows environments.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration.
• Familiarity with Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Experience with remote support tools and remote troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to take ownership of issues and work towards resolution.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support to customers via phone, email, and remote support tools.
• Diagnose and resolve IT issues promptly, aiming for first-time resolution whenever possible.
• Support Microsoft desktop operating systems and business applications.
• Administer and support Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange and SharePoint.
• Troubleshoot Active Directory and Group Policy issues.
• Support hardware including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
• Assist with backup, disaster recovery, antivirus, and security solutions.
• Support networking technologies including LAN, WAN, VPN, and firewall connectivity.
• Log, manage, and prioritize support tickets in line with service levels and customer expectations.
• Liaise with third-party vendors where necessary to ensure timely issue resolution.
