Job summary

The Irish Wheelchair Association is seeking part-time Home Support Workers to empower members to live independently at home and in their communities. The role covers personal care, domestic assistance, social support, and companionship, performed in members' homes and local settings.

Applicants must have QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support or equivalent Social Care qualification, a full clean driving licence, and the ability to use a smartphone to check visits.

Qualifications

• QQI level 5 (Major Award) in Healthcare Support or similar qualification in Social Care is essential
• Full clean drivers' licence is essential
• Use of your own smartphone to check in and out of visits is essential
• Kind and caring attitude

Responsibilities

• Assist members with personal care as needed
• Provide domestic assistance in the home
• Offer social and educational support, travel and companionship
• Liaise with Assisted Living Service Coordinator and Scheduling staff
