Irish Wheelchair Association (IWA) in Dublin is seeking dedicated Healthcare Assistants / Personal Assistants to provide person-centered support to enable a person with a disability to live as independently as possible. The role includes personal care, domestic tasks, social and educational support, companionship, and transportation, with specific hours in Dublin 9.

The position offers a part-time schedule with evening and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English (spoken and written).
• Legal right to work in Ireland.
• Willingness to undergo Garda vetting and mandatory training.

Responsibilities

• Participate in mandatory training provided by IWA, including manual handling and safeguarding.
• Assist with personal care tasks (showering, grooming, dressing, toileting) and transfers using equipment (e.g., hoist).
• Assist with administration tasks.
• Be available for occasional extra hours to cover shifts during holidays, sickness, or unforeseen circumstances.
• Maintain confidentiality and discretion in all interactions.
