Job summary

The Irish Wheelchair Association is seeking committed and caring part-time Healthcare Assistants based in Gweedore and surrounding areas in County Donegal. You will assist members in achieving maximum independence through personal care and companionship. Key requirements include QQI Level 5 qualification and experience in a caring role. The role offers a salary range of €16.20 – €18.03 per hour, with excellent benefits such as paid mileage and holiday pay.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 modules completed of the Major Award at QQI Level 5 in Community & Health Services or similar.
• Experience working in a caring role is essential.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
• Access to your own car is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance in personal care, domestic help, and companionship to members.
• Liaise and coordinate with other home carers as required.
• Maintain close communication with ALS Coordinator/Scheduling staff.
