Job summary

Hygeia is seeking a part-time HR Generalist in Oranmore, Galway to support the day-to-day operations of the People & Development department.

You will handle recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, training, compensation and benefits administration, HR compliance and payroll data accuracy, while maintaining confidentiality and providing guidance to staff and management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in Human Resources or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Experience with HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding.
• Maintain employee records and ensure HR documentation is accurate and confidential.
• Administer employee benefits, leave management, and attendance records.
• Support performance management processes, including appraisals and performance improvement plans.
• Handle employee relations issues and assist in conflict resolution.
• Ensure compliance with labour laws, company policies, and HR best practices.
• Coordinate employee training and development programs.
• Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
• Prepare HR reports and maintain HR metrics.
• Support payroll by providing accurate employee data and resolving HR payroll-related queries.
• Facilitate employee engagement and wellness initiatives.
• Conduct exit interviews and support offboarding activities.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.

Education
