Job summary

The School Food Company is seeking a hands‑on Catering Assistant to prepare fresh lunches and work in a busy school kitchen environment. Based at St. Anne's School, Ennis, Co. Clare, this fixed-term, part-time role offers 10–15 hours per week with shift times around 8:00am–2:30pm.

Garda Vetting and a Child Protection Course are required; experience in catering is an advantage, and training in HACCP will be provided.

Qualifications

• Garda Vetting is required.
• Child Protection Course required.
• Experience in catering or home cooking is an advantage; positive attitude essential.

Responsibilities

• Cook from scratch, prep, and cook fresh ingredients.
• Lead daily kitchen operations, rostering and placing orders with providers.
• Supervise staff and ensure food safety and company policies.
• Deliver freshly cooked lunches to classrooms and maintain HACCP standards.
