Job summary

Hollybank Trustees Ltd in Newport, Co. Tipperary, is recruiting Catering Assistants to join The School Food Company. You will cook from scratch, prep ingredients, and serve students in busy school canteens while handling cash/card transactions.

Garda Vetting and Child Protection training are required; catering or home-cooking experience is an advantage. You will receive full HACCP, hygiene, and manual handling training; lunches are provided on shifts over 4.5 hours.

• Garda Vetting and Child Protection Course required.

The School Food Company prepares fresh, healthy lunches cooked daily in onsite school kitchens. We are recruiting hands‑on Catering Assistants who enjoy preparing fresh food and working in a busy canteen environment.

Location: Newport College, Station Road, Newport, Co. Tipperary

About the Role

• Cooking from scratch: peeling, chopping, prepping, and cooking fresh ingredients (no raw meat handled)
• Supporting daily kitchen operations in a fast‑paced environment
