Job summary

The School Food Company is hiring Part-Time Catering Assistants for Castlemartyr, Co. Cork. On-site roles involve cooking from scratch, helping in a busy school kitchen, and delivering meals to classrooms. Rotating shifts and 10–18 hours per week apply.

Garda Vetting and a Child Protection Course are required; catering or home cooking experience is a plus. Training provided, and lunch is provided on longer shifts. Opportunities for progression exist within the company.

Qualifications

• Willing to work in a cooking role, preparing meals from scratch.
• Flexible with rotating schedule and travel between schools.
• Garda Vetting and completion of a Child Protection Course required.
• Experience in catering or home cooking is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Cooking from Scratch: prepare fresh, healthy meals daily in onsite kitchens.
• Kitchen Management: support a fast-paced school kitchen environment.
• Service: deliver lunches to classrooms and assist with end-of-day cleanup.
• Maintain HACCP hygiene standards and general food safety.
