Job summary

Dains Ireland is seeking an experienced Accounting & Business Advisory Outsourcing Manager to lead its outsourced accounting team in Dublin. You will manage client relationships, oversee bookkeeping, and drive timely delivery of financial statements and management accounts.

The role requires strong experience in Xero and SME accounting, with the ability to onboard new clients and improve processes within a small to mid-sized practice.

Qualifications

• Experience in small- to medium-sized accounting practices.
• Strong bookkeeping and accounts preparation skills.
• Experience with outsourced accounts is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the outsourcing team, ensuring client accounts are accurate and deadlines are met.
• Act as primary contact between clients and the outsourcing team, managing relationships and queries.
• Lead onboarding of new clients and manage the transition process for smooth implementation.
• Manage bookkeeping operations, workflow and client billing to ensure timely completion.
• Prepare and review annual financial statements and management accounts to high standards.

Are you an experienced accounting professional looking for your next challenge? Dains Ireland is looking for a motivated individual with experience in bookkeeping, accounts preparation and working within a small or medium-sized accountancy practice.

In this role, you will take ownership of our outsourced accounting team, support a varied portfolio of SME clients and help them achieve their business goals.

Your Responsibilities:

• You will be overseeing the outsourcing team, ensuring client accounts are managed accurately and in accordance with relevant standards and deadlines.
• Act as the primary point of contact between clients and the outsourcing team, delivering a high-quality service, managing client relationships, resolving queries, and ensuring the team has all the information required to meet client needs.
• Lead the onboarding of new clients, managing the transition process to ensure a smooth and efficient implementation.
• Take responsibility for bookkeeping operations, workflow management, and client billing processes, ensuring work is completed efficiently and on time.
• Prepare and review annual financial statements and management accounts to a consistently high standard, providing accurate and insightful financial information.

Your Qualifications & Experience:

• You should have several years of experience working in an small-medium sized accounting firm, in a similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience and knowledge in bookkeeping and accounts preparation
• Proficient in the use of Xero, BrightBooks and other accounting software
• Qualified or currently working towards an accounting qualification (ATI, ACCA, AAT (or similar))
• Experience working with an outsourced accounts team is preferred but not essential
