Job summary

GPC Finance is seeking an experienced Outsourced Solutions Manager in Ireland to oversee bookkeeping and outsourced finance services for a diverse client portfolio. This client-facing role leads a team, drives process improvements, and strengthens relationships while supporting growth of the outsourced solutions function.

You will manage month-end processes, oversee reconciliations and reporting, and collaborate with accounts, payroll and tax teams to ensure a seamless service offering.

Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Outsourced Solutions Manager to oversee the delivery of high-quality bookkeeping and outsourced finance services to a diverse portfolio of clients. This is a client-facing position offering the opportunity to lead a team, drive process improvements, and ensure exceptional service delivery. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing client relationships while supporting the continued growth of the outsourced solutions function.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring bookkeeping and outsourced finance services are delivered accurately, efficiently, and within agreed deadlines.
• Oversee month-end processes, including reconciliations, journals, accruals, prepayments, trial balances, and management reporting.
• Lead, mentor, and review the work of the bookkeeping team, providing training, support, and ongoing performance feedback.
• Build strong client relationships, resolve queries, improve processes, and collaborate with accounts, payroll, and tax teams to ensure a seamless service offering.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in bookkeeping or outsourced accounting services, ideally within an accountancy practice or professional services environment.
• Proven experience managing client portfolios and reviewing the work of junior team members.
• Strong technical knowledge of bookkeeping, reconciliations, month-end processes, and management accounts preparation.
• Proficiency in accounting software and cloud-based bookkeeping platforms, with strong Excel skills.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and client management skills.
• Relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualification, or equivalent practical experience.
