Job summary

GPC Finance is seeking an experienced Outsourced Solutions Manager to lead delivery of bookkeeping and outsourced finance services for a diverse client portfolio. The role is client-facing and offers team leadership, process improvements and strong service delivery support.

You will drive client relationships while supporting growth of the outsourced solutions function and collaborating with tax leadership and senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in bookkeeping or outsourced accounting services.
• Experience managing client portfolios and reviewing junior team work.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, reconciliations, month-end processes and reports.
• Proficiency in accounting software and cloud platforms with strong Excel skills.
• Excellent organisational, communication and client management abilities.
• Relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualification or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients ensuring timely, accurate bookkeeping and outsourced services.
• Oversee month-end processes including reconciliations, journals, accruals and reporting.
• Mentor, review and develop the bookkeeping team with ongoing feedback.
• Strengthen client relationships and coordinate with accounts, payroll and tax teams.

This is a client-facing position offering the opportunity to lead a team, drive process improvements, and ensure exceptional service delivery. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing client relationships while supporting the continued growth of the outsourced solutions function.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring bookkeeping and outsourced finance services are delivered accurately, efficiently, and within agreed deadlines.
• Oversee month-end processes, including reconciliations, journals, accruals, prepayments, trial balances, and management reporting.
• Lead, mentor, and review the work of the bookkeeping team, providing training, support, and ongoing performance feedback.
• Build strong client relationships, resolve queries, improve processes, and collaborate with accounts, payroll, and tax teams to ensure a seamless service offering.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in bookkeeping or outsourced accounting services, ideally within an accountancy practice or professional services environment.
• Proven experience managing client portfolios and reviewing the work of junior team members.
• Strong technical knowledge of bookkeeping, reconciliations, month-end processes, and management accounts preparation.
• Proficiency in accounting software and cloud-based bookkeeping platforms, with strong Excel skills.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and client management skills.
• Relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualification, or equivalent practical experience.
