Job summary

Dains Ireland is seeking an Outsourcing Accounting Manager to lead the outsourced accounting team for a portfolio of SME clients in Dublin. You will oversee client accounts, ensure accuracy and timeliness, and act as the primary liaison between clients and the outsourcing team.

You will manage bookkeeping operations, onboarding of new clients, and the preparation of annual financial statements and management accounts to a high standard. Flexible hours and extensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in a small/medium-sized accounting firm in a similar role.
• Hands-on bookkeeping and accounts preparation experience.
• Experience working with outsourced accounts team is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the outsourcing team, ensuring client accounts are managed accurately and on time.
• Primary point of contact between clients and the outsourcing team, managing relationships and queries.
• Lead onboarding of new clients and manage the transition process to ensure smooth implementation.
• Take responsibility for bookkeeping operations, workflow management, and client billing processes.
• Prepare and review annual financial statements and management accounts to a high standard.

Are you an experienced accounting professional looking for your next challenge? Dains Ireland is looking for a motivated individual with experience in bookkeeping, accounts preparation and working within a small or medium-sized accountancy practice.

In this role, you will take ownership of our outsourced accounting team, support a varied portfolio of SME clients and help them achieve their business goals.

Your Responsibilities:

• You will be overseeing the outsourcing team, ensuring client accounts are managed accurately and in accordance with relevant standards and deadlines.
• Act as the primary point of contact between clients and the outsourcing team, delivering a high-quality service, managing client relationships, resolving queries, and ensuring the team has all the information required to meet client needs.
• Lead the onboarding of new clients, managing the transition process to ensure a smooth and efficient implementation.
• Take responsibility for bookkeeping operations, workflow management, and client billing processes, ensuring work is completed efficiently and on time.
• Prepare and review annual financial statements and management accounts to a consistently high standard, providing accurate and insightful financial information.

Your Qualifications & Experience:

• You should have several years of experience working in an small-medium sized accounting firm, in a similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience and knowledge in bookkeeping and accounts preparation
• Proficient in the use of Xero, BrightBooks and other accounting software
• Qualified or currently working towards an accounting qualification (ATI, ACCA, AAT (or similar))
• Experience working with an outsourced accounts team is preferred but not essential
