Job summary

GPC Finance is seeking an ambitious Accountant to join a long-established Chartered Accountancy practice in North Dublin, delivering accounting, taxation and business advisory services to owner-managed SMEs. The role involves managing year-end statements and outsourced accounting, with VAT/PAYE returns and client reporting.

You will work independently, build strong client relationships and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified ACA/ACCA with progress toward membership.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Irish practice.
• Experience with audit-exempt companies and outsourcing/accounts department.

Responsibilities

• Prepare year-end financial statements for audit-exempt clients.
• Manage outsourced accounting engagements including bookkeeping and client reporting.
• Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE, and other statutory returns.

Our client is a long-established and highly regarded Chartered Accountancy practice based in North Dublin. With a strong reputation for delivering exceptional accounting, taxation, and business advisory services to a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses and SMEs, they are now seeking an ambitious Accountant to join their growing team.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of year-end financial statements for a portfolio of audit-exempt clients.
• Managing outsourced accounting engagements, including bookkeeping, management accounts, and client reporting.
• Preparing and submitting VAT, PAYE, and other statutory compliance returns.
• Building strong client relationships while delivering high-quality work within agreed deadlines.

Requirements:

• Part-qualified ACA/ACCA
• Minimum 3 years’ experience within an Irish practice environment is essential
• Strong experience working with audit-exempt companies
• Exposure to an outsourcing/accounts department with responsibility for managing multiple client assignments
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of client portfolios
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proactive approach with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
