Role Overview

Join our team of outdoor instructors to lead adventure activities, foster teamwork, and provide safe, inclusive experiences for participants of all skill levels. You’ll guide groups in activities such as kayaking, zip-lining, archery, wakeboarding, and climbing—adapting each session to create unforgettable moments.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver and supervise outdoor adventure activities tailored to participant needs.

Conduct safety checks and briefings while enforcing all safety protocols.

Promote sustainable practices and maintain site cleanliness.

Provide outstanding customer service, ensuring each participant has a memorable, inclusive experience.

Complete session reports, document incidents, and participate in ongoing training.

Essential Eligibility Criteria

Health & Fitness: Capable of leading outdoor activities in all weather conditions.

Flexible Schedule: Available to work weekends and holidays.

Background Check: Garda vetting required for working with children and vulnerable groups.

Transport: Reliable transportation to and from Ballyhass sites.

Training Requirements

First Aid, Child Safeguarding, and Manual Handling certification required before contract start.

Induction training on all adventure activities will also be provided.

Preferred Skills and Competencies

Outdoor Activity Experience: Previous experience in outdoor pursuits (e.g., climbing, kayaking, etc.).

Safety and First Aid: Certified in First Aid and knowledgeable about safety procedures.

Strong Communication: Ability to lead, motivate, and adapt sessions for diverse groups.

Equipment Knowledge: Skilled in using and maintaining activity‑specific gear.

Job Type

Full-time, Fixed-term Pay: €14.20 – €17.00 per hour
