Job summary

BWG Foods Ltd in Cork is seeking an Operations Supervisor for our Value Centre Cork to help manage and coordinate daily warehouse operations, ensure stock availability and meet customer demands.

Reporting to the Value Centre Operations Manager, you will lead a team, drive safety and HACCP compliance, maintain equipment, supervise security and GMP, and optimise workflow to achieve targets.

The role requires strong leadership, IT proficiency, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse/retail supervisory role.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise, lead and motivate a team.
• Excellent IT skills.
• Experience with Food Safety, HACCP training; compliance with hygiene and quality regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily warehouse activities to ensure targets are achieved.
• Ensure skills mix within the warehouse and that staff are trained to meet objectives.
• Maintain equipment and ensure availability for shifts to meet customer requirements.
• Manage warehouse workflow to meet operational demands and customer needs.
• Monitor and manage performance of staff within area of control.
• Supervise health & safety and ensure compliance with risk assessments.
• Ensure security policies are followed.
• Observe Good Distribution Practice for medicinal procedures on shift.
• Maintain warehouse hygiene.
• Ensure stock availability to meet customer demands.
• Ensure orderly handover at end of shift and replenishment for next day.
• Follow stock protection and shrinkage minimisation procedures.

Operations Supervisor – VC Cork

Applications are invited for the position of Operations Supervisor on a Permanent Full time basis. The focus of this role will be to assist with the effective management, planning and coordination of the operation in our Value Centre Cork branch.

Reporting to the Value Centre Operations Manager, key responsibilities for this role are as follows:

• Supervise with daily warehouse activities to ensure all appropriate targets are being achieved by employees
• Ensure skills mix within the warehouse and all employees are trained to achieve objectives
• Ensure all equipment maintained and available for shift activities and to meet customer requirements
• Manage workflow in the warehouse to ensure objectives are achieved and to meet operational demands and customer requirements
• To monitor and manage the performance of those within area of control
• Supervise health & safety in the warehouse and ensure operations are compliant with the appropriate risk assessments
• Ensure security policies are always complied with.
• To ensure Good Distribution Practice for medicinal procedures on shift are observed.
• Ensure the warehouse hygiene is maintained.
• Ensure stock availability to meet customer demands and needs.
• To ensure an orderly handover at the end of shift
• To ensure replenishment of items throughout shift and in preparation for next day pick
• To ensure Procedures relating to stock protection and minimising shrinkage are followed at all times.

The ideal candidate will possess some of the following skills:

• Previous experience in a warehouse/retail supervisory role
• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Must have strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise, lead and motivate a team
• Must have excellent I.T Skills
• Experience with Food Safety, HACCP training. Ensuring compliance with hygiene and quality regulations.
