Job summary

Grn-Search-Group in Ballybofey, Republic of Ireland, is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead a busy team and manage day-to-day warehouse operations from receipt to despatch.

You will supervise the team, coordinate goods-in, storage, picking and despatch, plan workloads, and ensure accuracy and safety. Experience in a fast-paced environment and a forklift qualification are preferred.

Salary is EUR40,000 per annum, Monday–Friday day-shift with occasional Saturday overtime.

Monday-Friday, @ 8am-5pm (poss occasional Saturday overtime)

The Opportunity

An established and busy operation in Ballybofey is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for an existing Warehouse Supervisor or an experienced Team Leader who is ready to take the next step into a broader people-management role.

Working alongside the Warehouse Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the warehouse, supervising a team and ensuring goods move efficiently from receipt through to storage, picking, packing and despatch.

The environment is fast-paced and time-sensitive, with regular external haulier movements, so the successful candidate will need to be organised, hands-on and comfortable managing changing priorities throughout the day.

The Role:

• Supervise the day-to-day warehouse operation and provide hands-on leadership to the team.
• Coordinate goods-in, storage, stock control, picking, packing and despatch activities.
• Allocate daily workloads and ensure staffing is effectively organised around operational requirements.
• Manage team rotas, holidays, absence and general people-related matters.
• Support the induction, training and ongoing performance management of warehouse employees.
• Complete and support month-end stock counts, maintaining accurate stock records.
• Plan warehouse activity around incoming and outgoing loads.
• Ensure products are picked, prepared and available for external hauliers within required timescales.
• Monitor warehouse standards, productivity and accuracy.
• Ensure safe working practices and company procedures are consistently followed.
• Work closely with the Warehouse Manager and wider operational teams to resolve issues and maintain an efficient flow of goods.
• Support the continued implementation and use of warehouse systems, barcode scanning and stock-control technology.

You will need:

• Previous warehouse operations experience ideally within food or chilled environment.
• Team Leader, Supervisor or other people-management experience.
• Good understanding of stock control and inventory processes.
• Experience of goods-in, goods-out and despatch operations.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a warehouse team.
• Comfortable working within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Good IT skills and willingness to learn new warehouse systems.
• Experience using a WMS, barcode or scanning system.
• Forklift licence or previous forklift experience.
