Job summary

Collins McNicholas Recruitment is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join the Supply Chain team of a leading manufacturing organisation based in Shannon, Co. Clare.

This hands-on leadership role will supervise a large warehouse team and drive improvements across scanning, lot-code traceability and inventory control in a modern facility. The role requires strong leadership, a background in warehouse management systems and a proven track record in maintaining stock accuracy.

Qualifications

• Third-level qualification in Supply Chain, Warehousing, Logistics, Inventory Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience managing or supervising a busy warehouse operation.
• Strong systems aptitude, with experience using warehouse management systems, scanning technologies and lot-code management.
• Proven experience in inventory control and maintaining high levels of stock accuracy.
• Forklift licence and material handling experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments and with suppliers.
• Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate, develop and manage a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations, including unloading, goods receiving, inventory transactions, cycle counting and stock control.
• Ensure incoming goods are accurately and promptly processed and recorded on the system.
• Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock reconciliation and effective inventory management.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Manage the timely and accurate issuing of inventory to manufacturing operations.
• Lead warehouse process improvements, particularly around scanning technology, lot-code management, traceability and inventory control.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and operational standards.
• Promote a strong health and safety culture, including forklift/equipment inspections and maintaining a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment.
• Ensure warehouse security and controlled access to restricted areas.
• Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance and support to warehouse team members, promoting accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.

This is a hands-on leadership role, supervising a large warehouse team within a modern, purpose-built logistics facility. The successful candidate will lead by example, ensuring the safe, efficient and accurate operation of all warehouse activities while driving continuous improvement.

The organisation has invested significantly in warehouse and inventory management systems and is continuing to enhance its logistics processes through goods-in scanning, lot-code traceability and scan-based picking systems. The Warehouse Supervisor will play a key role in implementing and managing these improvements.
