Jobgether is seeking a Performance Engineer - Open Source based in Ireland to improve performance, correctness, and scalability across the technology stack. You will work across open source systems, from kernels to runtimes, and contribute to tooling, dashboards, and measurement frameworks.

The role emphasizes mentorship, technical leadership, and knowledge sharing within a fully distributed team, with international travel to company events.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in CS/Math/Physics or equivalent.
• Proven initiative to improve software performance, efficiency, or correctness.
• Strong English written and oral communication.
• Experience with Linux (Debian/Ubuntu preferred).

Responsibilities

• Drive software performance, scalability, efficiency, and correctness within a project.
• Analyze systems and code to locate bottlenecks and optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with open source communities to resolve challenges.
• Develop tools and infrastructure for measurement, profiling, and benchmarking.
