Job summary

Jobgether is partnering with a manag​ing partner to recruit a Backend Engineer focusing on Core APIs in Ireland. The role is fully remote within a globally distributed team building real-time data processing and high-performance APIs.

You will work primarily with Go and Node.js to design scalable backend systems, APIs, and microservices while contributing to reliability, performance, and architecture evolution.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of backend development experience with production-grade systems.
• Proficiency in Go or Node.js, with willingness to deepen both.
• Experience building scalable backend systems, APIs, and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable backend systems for real-time data processing.
• Build, maintain, and improve APIs, microservices, and backend infrastructure.
• Develop with Go and/or Node.js and collaborate across services.
• Investigate complex issues with root-cause analysis and experiments.
• Participate in on-call rotations and mentor junior developers.
