Job summary

Partner Company in Ireland is seeking a Software Engineer for Solutions Engineering to help advance open source software in DevOps workflows. The role combines Python and Go development across Linux, networking, storage, and virtualization, with exposure to containers and cloud infrastructure.

You will contribute to monitoring, automation, and reliable operations while collaborating with engineers across regions and upstream projects. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Strong professional experience as a software engineer with Python
• Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts and technologies
• Experience with Linux networking and virtualization would be beneficial

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deliver high-quality open source software operations code using Python and Golang.
• Work across the Linux technology stack including kernel, networking, storage, virtualization, containers; build open source infra for monitoring and automation.
• Collaborate with globally distributed teams, contribute to upstream projects, and share practical engineering insights.
• Follow agile practices and ensure high-quality, timely delivery.
• Participate in events with travel up to 10% of the time.
• Coach colleagues and contribute to a healthy engineering culture.
