Job summary

Astreya is seeking an Automation/Data/DevOps engineer to help build our centralized platform for partner management in Dublin. The role focuses on automating workflows, data pipelines, and operational processes across multiple systems.

You will design ETL pipelines, APIs, dashboards, and runbooks while ensuring data quality and scalability in a large enterprise environment. This is an on-site position in Dublin, five days a week.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in automation, data engineering or DevOps.
• Strong Python proficiency for scripting, APIs, and data manipulation.
• Experience building and consuming REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Familiarity with SQL and ETL concepts.
• Experience with job scheduling/orchestration tools (Airflow, cron).
• Understanding of data quality: validation, deduplication, reconciliation.
• Comfortable with large datasets across multiple source systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated workflows for partner onboarding, updates, renewals, and data lifecycle.
• Create self-service tools for bulk data operations without engineering support.
• Build automated alerting for stale data, missing information, or expiring service agreements.
• Build ETL pipelines to synchronize partner data across internal systems.
• Migrate legacy data from spreadsheets, wikis, and siloed databases into the platform.
• Develop reconciliation scripts to detect discrepancies and maintain data integrity.
• Build dashboards tracking data quality, freshness, and platform adoption.
• Create automated health checks and audit scripts for duplicates and incomplete entries.
• Generate scheduled leadership reports on automation ROI and data integrity metrics.

About the Role

Client's global network infrastructure relies on thousands of external partners — internet service providers (ISPs), colocation facilities, hardware vendors, and managed service providers. We're building a centralized platform to manage all of these relationships, contacts, and service data in one place.

What You'll Do

• Build Workflow Automation
  • Design and implement automated workflows for partner onboarding, contact updates, service renewals, and data lifecycle management
  • Create self-service tools that allow operations teams to perform bulk data operations without needing engineering support
  • Build automated alerting for stale data, missing information, or expiring service agreements
• Develop Data Pipelines & Integrations
  • Build ETL pipelines that synchronize partner data across multiple internal systems
  • Automate the migration of legacy data from spreadsheets, wikis, and siloed databases into the centralized platform
  • Develop reconciliation scripts to detect discrepancies between systems and maintain data integrity
• Automate Operational Processes
  • Build tools that auto-retrieve relevant partner contacts during network incidents, reducing response time
  • Create automated escalation and outreach workflows triggered by network events
  • Develop runbook automation to standardize and speed up repetitive operational tasks
• Monitor & Report
  • Build dashboards tracking data quality, freshness, and platform adoption
  • Implement automated health checks and audit scripts to detect duplicates, orphaned records, or incomplete entries

What We're Looking For

Required

• 3+ years experience in automation engineering, data engineering, or DevOps
• Strong proficiency in Python (scripting, API integrations, data manipulation)
• Experience building and consuming APIs (REST and/or GraphQL)
• Familiarity with SQL and data pipeline/ETL concepts
• Experience with job scheduling and orchestration tools (Airflow, cron, or similar)
• Understanding of data quality principles (validation, deduplication, reconciliation)
• Comfortable working with large datasets across multiple source systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

Preferred

• Experience with PHP or Hack (server-side scripting)
• Familiarity with graph databases or relationship/entity management systems
• Experience with CRM, MDM (Master Data Management), or vendor management platforms
• Understanding of network infrastructure concepts (ISPs, peering, colocation, Points of Presence)
• Experience with Thrift or similar RPC frameworks
• Background in telecom, network operations, or infrastructure services
• Experience automating processes in a large-scale enterprise environment
