Job summary

JobCubby is seeking a Software Engineer to work on a Kubernetes-focused product team based in Ireland. You will build and enhance open-source solutions, create Kubernetes operators, and deliver addons with minimal operational overhead.

Primary work with Python and/or Golang, contributing to high-quality software used by a global community. You will collaborate with engineers across distributed teams, stay current with Kubernetes developments, and participate in international events.

Qualifications

• Experience with Golang or Python; experience with both is highly desirable.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, STEM, or a related technical discipline.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to collaborate across a distributed international team.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-quality software features for Kubernetes-focused products and open-source solutions.
• Build and maintain Kubernetes operators that provide complete lifecycle management for mission-critical components.
• Develop and improve Kubernetes addons that enable seamless integration of projects and services with minimal operational overhead.
• Write clean, maintainable, reliable, and well-tested code using Python and/or Golang.
• Collaborate with engineers across a globally distributed team and contribute to technical discussions and design decisions.
• Travel internationally for internal and external events, typically 2–4 weeks per year.
