Job summary

TechHeads is partnering with a leading Dublin organisation to recruit an experienced IT Support Engineer for a 12-month day-rate contract based in Dublin. The role focuses on hands-on technical work within a global IT support function, supporting ~500 users worldwide and collaborating with a local IT team.

You will be strong across L2 support, Microsoft technologies, endpoint management, infrastructure troubleshooting and security, while providing day-to-day end-user support.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in IT support or infrastructure engineering.
• 2–3 years working at L2 level.
• Strong hands-on experience supporting Windows environments, Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Entra ID.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune, including endpoint management, laptop deployment, software installation and device configuration.
• Good understanding of Windows Server, DNS, networking and infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Experience with patch management and vulnerability remediation, ideally using SCCM, Tenable or similar tools.
• Some experience troubleshooting data centre hardware and working with infrastructure teams or external vendors.
• Familiarity with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow and an understanding of ITIL processes.
• Basic PowerShell scripting knowledge would be beneficial.
• Experience supporting macOS environments would be an advantage.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Happy to participate in scheduled weekend server patching and a shared on‑call rotation.
