Job summary

BERcerts.ie seeks an Energy Engineer / BER Assessor in Navan to perform BER assessments for homes and businesses, including site visits, data collection, and energy analyses. You will prepare detailed reports and advise on practical efficiency upgrades while ensuring compliance with Irish standards.

The role requires strong energy engineering skills, relevant qualifications, a driving license, and willingness to travel to client properties within the region.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Engineering, Building Services, Architecture, or a related field.
• BER Assessor certification (or eligibility and willingness to obtain it within a defined timeframe).
• Knowledge of Irish building regulations, energy standards, and BER software tools.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to work independently on-site.
• Clear, professional communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with clients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct BER assessments for residential and commercial properties, including site visits and data collection.
• Analyze building fabric and systems and prepare detailed energy reports.
• Recommend practical energy efficiency improvements and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with the technical team and travel to client properties as required.
