Job summary

Irish Sailing is seeking an Office Manager to support its operations and systems. Reporting to the CEO, you will coordinate HR, finance and communications, ensure smooth administration, and enhance the working environment for staff, members and clubs.

You will manage direct reports, oversee office facilities, coordinate governance and risk activities, and drive continuous improvement across processes while upholding the organisation's values and delivering a professional member experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own and continuously improve core administrative and operational processes.
  • Ensure effective systems, procedures and workflows in HR, Finance and Communications across the organisation.
  • Monitor operational effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage and support direct reports.
  • Maintain HR processes including recruitment and annual reviews.
  • Coordinate volunteer and staff meetings, internal communications, training and development.
  • Oversee office environments, facilities, equipment and IT infrastructure.
  • Maintain organisational registers - policies, contracts, assets and records.
  • Coordinate insurance renewals and claims.
  • Support governance and compliance requirements.
  • Oversee administrative and service processes relating to membership, certification and licensing.
  • Ensure members, clubs and affiliated organisations receive a professional and responsive service.
  • Coordinate annual strategy reviews, operational planning and resource planning.
  • Administer grant applications and reporting to Sport Ireland and World Sailing.
  • Report on operational effectiveness and performance against strategic levers and KPIs.
  • Provide operational support to the CEO and wider team.
  • Lead or coordinate organisational projects as required.

Irish Sailing wishes to recruit an Office Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join Irish Sailing's team to help make Irish Sailing run effectively behind the scenes, enabling the organisation and its people to deliver for members, clubs and the wider sailing community

Role Overview

The Office Manager will play a central role in administrating Irish Sailing's operations and systems. Working as part of the Team and reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the postholder will be responsible for the management and administration of a range of processes, systems and collaborating with and enhancing the working environment of every member of the team. The role is key to ensuring that every member, club, and affiliated organisation receives a professional, efficient, and positive experience with Irish Sailing.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
  • Own and continuously improve core administrative and operational processes.
