Job summary

Hodson Bay Hotel is seeking a dedicated Night Supervisor to oversee the hotel from 11:00 pm to 7:30 am. The role focuses on security, guest service, and smooth night operations, with a strong emphasis on handling queries calmly and efficiently.

You’ll act as a key point of contact for overnight guests and colleagues, ensuring the property remains well-presented and ready for the morning team. Fluent English and independent decision-making are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Night Supervisor, Night Auditor or similar hospitality role.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and make confident decisions; calm, professional guest handling.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the hotel during night hours to ensure smooth operation.
• Provide warm, professional service to overnight guests.
• Handle guest queries and issues with confidence and care.
• Support the night team and ensure tasks are completed to a high standard.
• Complete night audit duties and end-of-day procedures.
• Conduct regular security and safety checks throughout the hotel.
• Respond to incidents or emergencies as required.
• Ensure the hotel is clean, secure and ready for morning operations.
• Communicate effectively with the Night Manager and department heads.
• Prepare and hand over notes for the morning team.

Galway Bay Hotel is currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Night Supervisor to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional who enjoys working independently, takes pride in delivering excellent guest service, and can confidently oversee the hotel during the night.

As Night Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for supporting the smooth and safe running of the hotel from 11:00 pm to 7:30 am, ensuring our guests receive the same high standard of service throughout the night.

You’ll be a key point of contact for guests and colleagues, dealing with queries and any issues that arise in a calm and professional manner, while ensuring the hotel is secure, well-presented and ready for the morning team.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Supervising the smooth running of the hotel during the night
• Providing a warm, professional and efficient service to overnight guests
• Handling guest queries, requests and complaints with confidence and care
• Supporting the night team and ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard
• Completing night audit duties and ensuring accurate end-of-day procedures are carried out
• Conducting regular security and safety checks throughout the hotel
• Responding appropriately to any incidents or emergencies
• Ensuring the hotel is clean, secure and prepared for the morning operation
• Communicating effectively with the Night Manager and relevant department heads
• Completing handover notes and communicating any important issues to the morning team

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Previous experience in aNight Supervisor, Night Auditor or similar hospitality role
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• The ability to work independently and make confident decisions
• A calm and professional approach when dealing with guests or unexpected situations
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility
• Good knowledge of hotel operations and night audit procedures
• Experience using hotel management systems would be an advantage
• A friendly, guest-focused approach with fluent English
• Flexibility to work overnight shifts, including weekends and public holidays
