AstraZeneca's Athlone plant seeks a Warehouse Lead Operator to manage the permanent night shift, ensuring GMP-compliant warehouse operations aligned with production schedules at Monksland, Athlone.

This onsite role reports to the Warehouse Supervisor, mentors night shift staff, and drives process improvements while maintaining SOPs and safety standards in a fast-paced biopharma environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or coordinating night-shift warehouse activities in a cGMP manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency with SAP or equivalent inventory systems.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with cross-functional collaboration.
• Knowledge of cGMP requirements and regulatory compliance.
• Forklift training or willingness to maintain it.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day night shift warehouse activities to meet production schedules.
• Ensure training, safety procedures and SOPs are up-to-date for night shift.
• Maintain the Warehouse Quality System and support continuous improvement.
• Act as the main night shift contact and escalate issues to the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Provide guidance to night shift staff and ensure safe, compliant operations.
