Job summary

Celestica in Galway seeks a Maintenance Technician (Operations Engineering) to ensure mechanical set-up and ongoing maintenance for shift teams. You will solve equipment issues, support uptime, speed, yield and quality improvements, and collaborate with engineering on upgrades.

The role involves B shift pattern (8pm–8am) on the Galway site, with close teamwork and proactive problem solving to ensure safe, efficient production and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years experience as a technician or fitter in a mechanical environment.
• Hands-on equipment setup, lubrication, operation and maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and fix mechanical equipment failures.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance as directed.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and tracking records.
• Interact with other teams to coordinate repairs.
• Support the team to meet uptime, speed, yield and quality targets.
• Support shift communication and status updates.
• Provide inputs into spare parts usage.
• Support Engineering and Continuous Improvement projects.
• Assist other Technicians and Operators.
