Job summary

Celestica in Galway is seeking a Maintenance Technician to cover the 8pm–8am night shift on the production line. You will set up, maintain and troubleshoot mechanical equipment to support uptime, speed, yield and quality.

You will investigate equipment failures, perform preventive maintenance, keep records and coordinate repairs with other teams. The role requires hands-on capability, English communication and a collaborative approach to reach manufacturing excellence.

Qualifications

• Hands-on knowledge of setup, lubrication, operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
• High level of hands-on technical ability.
• Good written and verbal communication skills (in English).
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and fix mechanical equipment failures.
• Perform planned preventive maintenance as per supervision and guidance.
• Maintain up-to-date maintenance and tracking records.
• Coordinate equipment repairs with other teams.
• Support uptime, speed, yield and quality targets.
• Facilitate shift communications and meetings.
• Provide input on spare parts usage.
• Support Engineering and CI projects.
• Assist training and other Technicians.
