Job summary

Depaul is seeking a Relief Worker to join our Housing First - Meath initiative. You will cover shifts across Ireland, including night hours, providing practical support to residents and ensuring a safe, clean living environment within our projects.

This role reports to the Local Management Team and requires adaptability, professionalism and a customer-focused approach. Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of homelessness sector experience or a Level 5+ social care qualification, knowledge

Qualifications

• Experience in homelessness sector or related area (1+ year) or Level 5+ social care qualification.
• Knowledge of Housing First model and related practices.
• Competency with OTIS and PASS essential; IT proficient.

Responsibilities

• Meet the practical needs of service users (food, laundry, bedding).
• Maintain a safe, secure environment and high standards in the service.
• Work with service users with sensitivity during challenging situations.
• Carry out duties on rotas and participate in shift handovers.
• Maintain records for smooth operation and adhere to policies.
• Respond to service user needs, ensuring safety during night shifts.
• Support Depaul Ireland policies on Health & Safety and confidentiality.
