Job summary

Radisson Blu Hotel, Letterkenny is seeking a Night Porter to join our team. You’ll help ensure guest comfort during the night shift, answer enquiries, and perform security walks.

Applicants should have hotel or customer service experience, be fit to stand and lift, and possess good English and teamwork. We offer a competitive pay, benefits, and discounts through Windward and Radisson Groups.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a hotel, hospitality, cleaning, or customer service.
• Physical fitness – able to stand for long periods and carry out cleaning or lifting when required.
• Ability to work independently – confident in handling duties during quieter night hours.
• Basic knowledge of fire safety and emergency procedures.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Flexibility to working hours, including weekends and holiday periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of hotel facilities, services, restaurant operations, room types, and opening hours.
• Provide excellent guest service, assist with enquiries, handle complaints, and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Complete daily reports, record maintenance issues, and provide clear handovers between shifts.
• Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of public areas, including the lobby, corridors, toilets, restaurant, and other shared spaces.
• Assist with meeting room and conference set-ups, ensuring tables, chairs, audiovisual equipment, and other required items are arranged according to event specifications.
• Conduct regular security walks to ensure the hotel remains secure overnight, monitor access points, and keep fire exits and escape routes clear.
• Follow hotel health and safety, fire safety, food hygiene, and lost property procedures.
• Assist other departments when required, maintain professional grooming standards, and complete all required training.
