Job summary

Dublin Simon Community is seeking a Night Support Worker for the Outreach team based at Harcourt Street, Dublin. You will co-ordinate the provision of sleeping bags to clients sleeping rough, offering guidance and signposting, and collaborating with day teams to create pathways to emergency accommodation.

The role requires strong communication, incident support on site, and adherence to safeguarding policies. Training is provided, with a 37.5 hour week and shifts 22:00–08:00 or 21:00–08:30.

Qualifications

• NFQ level 7 qualification in a relevant field with 6 months relevant experience.
• NFQ level 6 qualification in a relevant field with 1 year of relevant experience.
• NFQ Level 5 qualification in health, community, or social care with 2 years relevant experience, including residential setting.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead on the provision of sleeping bags to clients who are rough sleeping.
• Offer advice and signposting to services for clients.
• Support clients to engage with Outreach and emergency accommodation providers.
• Accurate recording of data on PASS, Salesforce and SharePoint.
• Liaise with CPS, DRHE and Outreach team nightly and prepare reports.
• Ensure sleeping bag supplies and manage ordering with Outreach Manager.
• Provide consistent handovers and maintain frequent communication with management.
