Job summary

Castleknock Hotel is seeking a Night Manager to lead the night operations, ensuring safety, service and efficiency while coordinating with department heads. The role requires strong leadership, decisive decision-making, and a focus on guest satisfaction throughout the night.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in hotel night management, be adept at handling challenging situations, and possess solid experience with Opera, Micros and Alkimii systems, plus excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years as Night Manager in a hotel.
• Ability to handle challenging situations with safety in mind.
• Decisive, adaptable and able to manage changing priorities.
• Strong knowledge of Opera, Micros and Alkimii systems and excellent English.

Responsibilities

• Manage and be accountable for all night-time hotel operations.
• Collaborate with department heads to cover absences.
• Lead, coach and monitor the night team across areas.
• Ensure hotel security and safe night procedures.
• Handle reception duties and guest requests at night.
• Oversee fire safety and health & safety during the night.
• Deliver high standards of customer service and professionalism.
• Support F&B for late drinks and breakfast setup.
• Provide efficient room service and night audit processes.
• Build relationships with guests and anticipate needs.
• Manage lobby/entrance and tidy public areas for next day.
• Promote an inclusive environment and live core values.
• Be the overnight decision-maker and problem-solver.
• Ensure clear communication within the 24-hour operation.
• Oversee F&B and C&B night operations and event liaison.
• Ensure front-of-house areas are ready for morning.
