Job summary

The Address Collective in Cork seeks a Front of House Night Porter to ensure guest queries are met quickly and security checks are carried out nightly, plus a comprehensive night audit.

You will arrive in a neat uniform, provide a professional appearance, and hand over to the Duty Manager and on-duty staff with clear communication. Night hours require vigilance and strong guest service focus.

Responsibilities

• Arrive on time dressed neatly in a full clean uniform and present a professional appearance to our guests.
• Receive a full handover from Daily Porters, Receptionists on duty, and the Manager on duty.
• Carry out docket checks and inform the Duty Manager of any discrepancies.
• Perform security and fire checks at regular intervals (e.g. 12 am, 2 am, 4 am, 6 am) and log irregularities.
• Check-in/out guests at night and ensure luggage is picked up promptly.
• Deal with guest enquiries and needs quickly and effectively.
• Carry out Lounge/Room Service orders after 11 pm and keep kitchen areas clean.
• Collect breakfast cards during floor checks and prepare/deliver Room Service.
• Ensure early breakfasts are delivered on time and to standard.
• Cover Bar Service after hours with proper cash and stock procedures.
• Carry out night cleaning per schedule, including public areas and Premiere Lounge.
• Set up meeting rooms as needed and ensure equipment is working.
• Regularly check the fax machine and relay messages to guests promptly.
• Complete full night shift diary and handover any issues to the on-duty staff.
