Job summary

ACCPRO seeks a Senior Network Security Architect to drive design and governance for a geograph­ically dispersed Ireland-based environment. You will own Palo Alto firewall architecture, secure on‑premise and cloud integrations, and provide technical leadership on major projects.

You will shape roadmaps, deliver high-level and low-level designs, and oversee external security vendors to strengthen the organisation’s network security posture.

• Expertise in Palo Alto firewall design and security architecture.
• Knowledge of Azure hybrid-cloud connectivity and security.

Responsibilities

• Lead network and cybersecurity solution architecture across major projects.
• Design secure solutions across on-premise, Microsoft Azure and third-party environments.
• Own architecture and design standards for the Palo Alto firewall estate.
• Produce HLDs, LLDs, network diagrams, security patterns and architecture roadmaps.
• Develop network security architecture covering segmentation, Zero Trust, LAN/WAN, VPN, remote access, DMZ, IDS/IPS and secure cloud connectivity.
• Lead architecture for firewall upgrades, migrations and technology replacement programmes.
• Provide technical leadership and design assurance to network/firewall engineers.
• Oversee Managed Service Providers and specialist network security suppliers.
• Support vulnerability remediation, security assessments, major incidents and continuous security improvement.

We are recruiting an experienced Network Security Architect to join a large, complex organisation operating a geographically dispersed technology environment across Ireland.

This is a senior architecture position combining network security solution design, Palo Alto firewall architecture, hybrid-cloud connectivity and technical governance.

The successful candidate will act as the Network & Cybersecurity Solution Architect across major technology projects, while also providing design authority and strategic direction for the organisation's firewall and wider network security environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead network and cybersecurity solution architecture across major projects
• Design secure solutions across on-premise, Microsoft Azure and third-party environments
• Own architecture and design standards for the Palo Alto firewall estate

What we’re looking for:

• Strong Network Security / Cybersecurity Architecture experience
• Excellent Palo Alto firewall design and architecture expertise
• Strong networking knowledge across routing, switching, segmentation, VPN and security controls
• Experience with Microsoft Azure hybrid-cloud connectivity and security
• Experience delivering architecture within complex enterprise environments
• Strong HLD/LLD, technical governance and solution-design capability
• Experience managing or technically overseeing MSPs and third-party suppliers
• Ability to influence engineers, project teams and senior stakeholders
• Certifications such as Palo Alto, CCNP/CCIE, CISSP, SABSA, TOGAF or Azure Security/Networking would be advantageous.
