Ergo are seeking an Information Security Architect for a long-term contract opportunity with a public sector client in Dublin or Cork. You will play a leading role in supporting the client's compliance and readiness activities relating to the NIS2 Directive, while also supporting the continued maturity of the organisation's cybersecurity capability.
You will also be responsible for the planning, development and testing of cybersecurity incident response capabilities, while implementing Security architecture design and security strategy formulation for the future.
This is a hybrid role with great day rates and long-term potential.
What will you do?
- Develop and maintain a security architecture
- Lead or support NIS2 readiness assessments, gap analyses and remediation planning activities.
- Assist in developing security strategy plans and roadmaps
- Participate in application, infrastructure, cloud and business projects to provide security planning and architecture advice.
- Draft security procedures, standards and policies
- Advise on security assessments of internal systems, applications and IT infrastructure
- Coordinate with the Data Protection Team to document sensitive data flows and recommend appropriate protective controls.
- Assist in validating IT infrastructure and reference architectures against recognised security best practices and recommend improvements to reduce risk.
- Conduct incident response exercises and tabletop simulations
- Liaise with business continuity and disaster recovery teams to validate security practices supporting resilience and recovery capabilities.
- Provide security architecture and security governance guidance for cloud platforms and services, including Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS), ensuring solutions align with CSO security standards, NIS2 requirements and industry best practices.
What do you need?
- 6+ years' experience in Cybersecurity architecture and compliance
- Experience in NIST / NIS2
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, ISO27001
- Full Stack Knowledge of IT Infrastructure including applications and infrastructure
