Job summary

Alchelyst, a client solutions and infrastructure partner for private markets asset managers, seeks a Fund Accounting Analyst to maintain accurate fund records and ensure timely NAVs. You will support fund operations, investor reporting, and regulatory filings across diverse fund structures and jurisdictions.

In this role, you’ll prepare monthly and quarterly NAV packages, assist GAAP statements, and collaborate with auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
• 2+ years’ experience in a fund services or financial services industry.
• Good conceptual knowledge of accounting principles and financial statement preparation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication to collaborate across teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Understanding of security types and their accounting treatment.
• Awareness of stock market practices and data vendor systems (e.g. Bloomberg).
• Knowledge of processes of a fund’s Custodian Bank and Investment Manager.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting and securities records for each fund administered.
• Perform day-to-day fund operations, fund reporting and investor reporting.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly NAV packages in a timely manner.
• Assist with quarterly and annual GAAP financial statements and footnote disclosures.
• Collate audit information for internal and external auditors.
• Prepare regulatory filings (e.g. Form ADV, Form PF, AIFMD Filings).
• Review cash activity and system bookings daily.
• Monitor capital calls and distributions; prepare detailed activity descriptions.
• Review capital call/distribution workings and notices to investors.
• Manage end-execution of Private Equity Funds from other accounting apps.
• Identify process improvements to boost efficiency and productivity.
• Perform ad-hoc duties and special projects as needed.
