Job summary

Quest Recruitment is seeking a Fund Accounting Supervisor in Ireland to oversee end-to-end NAV calculations and delivery of high-quality fund accounting services for hedge fund clients. You will report to the Fund Accounting Director and Managing Director, guiding a team and driving process improvements.

The role emphasizes leadership, client service, and a strong understanding of hedge fund structures, with a focus on accuracy and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in hedge fund administration, including at least 1 year in supervisory or management role.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification — ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ACA or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of hedge fund structures and NAV calculation methodologies.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• High IT literacy with proficiency in relevant fund accounting systems and MS Office.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the delivery of high-quality fund accounting services to a portfolio of hedge fund clients.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact in collaboration with the Fund Accounting Director.
• Oversight, manage and develop a team of up to 10 fund accounting professionals, ensuring performance goals are met and staff receive ongoing support and training.
• Ensure adherence to established control frameworks and operational procedures across the team.
• Review and approve daily and monthly NAV calculations, reconciliations, fee calculations, and performance allocations.
• Ensure all aged items on cash and position reconciliations are resolved promptly.
• Drive process improvements and efficiencies within the NAV production cycle.
• Manage and coordinate the year-end audit process, including preparation of financial statements and liaison with external auditors.
• Support new fund launches, client onboarding, and transitions.

• High degree of IT literacy with proficiency in relevant fund accounting systems and MS Office.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
