Job summary

CPL is seeking an Area Sales Manager for the Munster region to drive revenue growth through new business development and management of key customer relationships in the construction and plant hire sector.

The role focuses on target attainment, strategic account plans, and proactive engagement with clients, supported by CRM and strong commercial acumen. A company vehicle or allowance is offered along with development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Based within the Munster region with strong knowledge of the local market.
• Proven success in generating new business and winning major accounts.
• Full clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with existing regional and national customers to maximise revenue opportunities.
• Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities across the Munster region and nationally.
• Develop and implement a strategic sales plan with clearly defined objectives and performance targets.
• Maintain a structured customer engagement programme, ensuring all activity is accurately recorded through the CRM system.
• Build a strong pipeline of opportunities through proactive business development and networking.
• Promote and educate customers on the company's expanding product and service offering.
• Work closely with the Sales Director to deliver profitable pricing strategies and commercial agreements.
• Ensure sales activities align with revenue, margin, and profitability targets.
• Collaborate with operational teams to ensure exceptional customer service and successful contract delivery.
• Keep up to date with market trends, industry regulations, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.
• Produce accurate sales forecasts and reports while maintaining high administrative standards.
• Build strong internal relationships to support business growth and customer satisfaction.
