Job summary

Brightwater Recruitment is seeking a Mortgage Advisor to join its client, an established financial services business in Limerick. The role suits a QFA-qualified professional, or someone actively pursuing QFA, with 3–5 years’ experience in the Irish mortgage market.

You will guide clients from initial consultation through to drawdown, provide compliant advice, and work with multiple lenders. A dedicated admin team supports you, while opportunities for CPD and career progression are on offer.

Qualifications

• QFA qualified, currently pursuing QFA, or APA qualified.
• 3–5 years’ experience in mortgage advice within the Irish market.
• Strong understanding of Irish mortgage products, lender requirements and regulatory obligations.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trusted client relationships.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple cases.

Responsibilities

• Deliver regulated mortgage advice in accordance with Central Bank of Ireland requirements and the Consumer Protection Code.
• Complete comprehensive client fact-finds and assess affordability and borrowing requirements.
• Recommend suitable mortgage solutions across first-time buyers, home movers, mortgage switchers and re-mortgages.
• Oversee mortgage applications from initial enquiry through to final drawdown.
• Maintain accurate client files and ensure compliance with AML, GDPR and internal procedures.
• Work towards agreed business development, sales and service objectives while prioritising clients’ needs.
• Monitor changes in mortgage lending criteria, regulation and the wider Irish property finance market.
• Maintain relevant qualifications and complete ongoing CPD requirements.
