Position Summary
NeoDyne is seeking an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor to join our Power Generation team, supporting the delivery of large-scale data centre and mission-critical infrastructure projects. The role will suit a Quantity Surveyor with experience in electrical, mechanical, power generation, construction or mission-critical projects who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced project environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the commercial and cost performance of projects from contract award through construction, commissioning and final account.
- Prepare and manage client valuations, payment applications, variations and change orders, ensuring changes in scope are identified, valued and agreed.
- Maintain accurate cost reports, forecasts, variation registers, cash-flow forecasts and commercial records throughout the project.
- Promote effective cost control and value engineering, working with engineering and construction teams to identify opportunities to improve project delivery and commercial performance.
- Work closely with Project Managers, engineers and site teams to monitor project progress, costs, commitments, margins and forecasts.
- Work with construction and engineering teams to assess the commercial impact of design development, site conditions, programme changes and construction issues.
- Manage subcontractors commercially, including appointments, valuations, variations, payment assessments and final accounts.
- Attend client, subcontractor, progress and commercial meetings, supporting negotiations and resolution of commercial or contractual matters.
- Review drawings, specifications, contracts and project scope to identify commercial, contractual and construction risks.
- Support the project team through testing, commissioning, handover and project close-out, ensuring outstanding variations, claims and final accounts are resolved.
- Support the procurement of generators, electrical equipment, subcontract installation packages and associated project services, including tender evaluation and commercial negotiation.
- Monitor project quantities, material requirements and subcontractor scope to ensure works are delivered in accordance with the contract, budget and agreed scope.
- Carry out regular site visits and progress assessments, verifying completed works and identifying issues that may impact cost, programme or contractual obligations.
Required
Experience & Skills
- Degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Commercial Management or a related discipline.
- Relevant Quantity Surveying experience within construction, engineering, M&E or industrial projects.
- Experience in cost management, procurement, variations, valuations and subcontractor management.
- Good understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes.
- Strong commercial awareness, communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and project cost reporting.
Desired
- Experience working on data centre or mission-critical projects.
- Experience within power generation, electrical or M&E projects.
- Familiarity with generator packages, electrical infrastructure and associated installation works.
- Experience supporting projects through construction, commissioning and final account.
