Job summary

NeoDyne is seeking an experienced MEP Quality Lead to support the delivery of data centre and mission-critical infrastructure projects within our Power Generation & Energy Systems team. The role will establish, implement and oversee project quality requirements across design, procurement, construction, completions and commissioning activities.

The role is based at our Cork Office with a competitive salary and Benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Process Engineering (or related field) and relevant experience.
  • Significant experience in quality management, quality engineering or project delivery in complex engineering/construction environments.
  • Strong QA/QC understanding, inspection processes and standards.
  • Experience reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, ITPs and technical docs.
  • Experience managing inspections, non-conformances and close-out actions.
  • Experience with multidisciplinary teams, contractors and vendors.
  • Strong communication, leadership, coordination and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant engineering or quality qualifications or equivalent industry experience.
  • Commitment to health, safety, quality and technical excellence.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

NeoDyne is seeking an experienced

NeoDyne is seeking an experienced MEP Quality Lead to support the delivery of data centre and mission-critical infrastructure projects within our Power Generation & Energy Systems team. The Quality Lead will be responsible for establishing, implementing and overseeing project quality requirements across design, procurement, construction, completions and commissioning activities. Working closely with NeoDyne's engineering teams, clients, contractors and equipment vendors, the role will ensure that project deliverables and installed systems meet the required technical, quality and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement project Quality Plans, procedures and inspection requirements.
  • Ensure engineering, construction and commissioning activities comply with project specifications, approved designs and applicable standards.
  • Review contractor and vendor quality plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), technical submissions and quality documentation.
  • Coordinate and participate in inspections, audits, factory and site acceptance activities and quality reviews.
  • Monitor the manufacturing, installation and testing of critical equipment and systems.
  • Manage non-conformances, defects and corrective actions through to satisfactory close-out.
  • Work closely with design, construction, completions and commissioning teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Monitor quality performance and provide clear reporting on key issues, risks and trends.
  • Support system completion, handover and review of final quality records and turnover documentation.
  • Promote a strong quality culture and drive continuous improvement and lessons learned across projects.
Required
Experience & Skills
  • Level 8 Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering or related fields (or equivalent work experience).
  • Significant experience in quality management, quality engineering or project delivery within complex engineering or construction environments.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance and quality control principles, inspection processes and construction quality requirements.
  • Experience reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, ITPs and technical documentation.
  • Experience managing inspections, non-conformances, corrective actions and quality close-out.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams, contractors, vendors and client representatives.
  • Strong communication, leadership, coordination and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant engineering, quality or technical qualification, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Strong commitment to health, safety, quality and technical excellence
Desired
  • Experience delivering data center, mission-critical, power generation, energy or other technically complex infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of power generation and electrical infrastructure, including generators, HV/LV systems, switchgear, UPS, energy storage and associated control systems.
  • Experience with vendor surveillance, factory inspections and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
  • Experience supporting construction completions, commissioning and final project handover.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and relevant quality management systems and industry standards.
  • Quality auditing or inspection qualifications.
  • Experience developing project quality processes, standards and lessons-learned programmes.
