Position Summary
NeoDyne are recruiting a highly skilled Construction Manager to support the continued growth of our data centre and mission-critical infrastructure projects within our Power Generation & Energy Systems team. The successful candidate will contribute both during the pre-construction/design phases and during project execution, helping NeoDyne provide a more complete service to clients as we expand our data centre portfolio. The role is offered as a full-time staff position with an excellent Salary and Benefits package. We're offering location flexibility for the right candidate, with the role being based at any of our Irish offices: Dublin, Cork, Waterford or Galway. Key Responsibilities
Design & Pre-Construction
- Review designs, contractor proposals and equipment layouts for access, installation and sequencing.
- Support tendering, contractor evaluation, procurement and construction planning activities.
- Feed construction experience and lessons learned back into NeoDyne's engineering teams and design standards.
Construction & Project Delivery
- Represent NeoDyne and our clients during the construction phase of the project.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, client teams and internal engineering teams.
- Monitor construction progress against design, programme, quality and project requirements, identifying risks and issues early.
- Support the resolution of RFIs, technical queries, design changes and site coordination issues.
- Participate in progress and technical meetings and provide clear reports on construction status, risks and required actions.
- Hold primary responsibility for safety on site, ensuring works are carried out under safe systems of work and that subcontractors comply with the site safety plan.
- Support the PSCS function on site, including contractor coordination, permits and delivery the safety file.
Quality
- Oversee and coordinate the installation of critical MEP infrastructure, including electrical, cooling, controls and associated systems.
- Monitor construction quality and compliance with approved designs, specifications and relevant standards.
- Support equipment installation, energisation, testing, commissioning and integrated systems testing.
- Support snagging, defect resolution, completion documentation and project handover.
- Promote high standards of health, safety, quality and operational readiness throughout project delivery.
People Skills
- Act as a trusted construction advisor to clients, providing practical and technically informed advice.
- Maintain effective communication between design teams, contractors, vendors and client stakeholders.
- Mentor project team members in site delivery and construction best practice.
Required Experience & Skills
- A relevant qualification in engineering, construction management or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- Significant experience in construction management, project management or site delivery within complex engineering or construction environments.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services and their interfaces with civil, structural and architectural works.
- Experience working with contractors, specialist subcontractors, consultants, vendors and client project teams.
- Good understanding of construction sequencing, programme management, quality assurance and site coordination.
- Ability to review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and construction documentation.
- Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong commitment to health, safety and quality in project delivery.
Desired
- Experience delivering data centres, mission-critical facilities or other technically complex, MEP-intensive projects such as pharmaceutical, semiconductor, advanced manufacturing or energy facilities.
- Knowledge of data centre infrastructure, including HV/LV electrical systems, generators, UPS systems, cooling systems, controls/BMS and fire protection systems.
- Experience with commissioning, integrated systems testing and handover of complex MEP systems.
- Experience representing clients or engineering consultants during construction.
- Familiarity with relevant data centre standards, construction practices and project delivery models.
- Experience mentoring project teams or helping develop construction management processes and best practices.
